Covid Update

Dear Patient

So it has been a while since i have given a Covid update, primarily due to the promised document from government being over 2 months late. Things have changed and we have reacted accordingly.

The practice has recently had the ventilation upgraded and now offers more than the recommended 10 changes per hr. We have also invested in new drills that reduce the risk of virus spread, while allowing us to provide normal care. This makes the environment as safe as physically possible.

The guidance has changed and we have therefore modified to pre appointment questions. Please continue to complete this prior to your appointment as it allows things to progress far more smoothly at reception.

The recommendation is now to delay non acute care for patients with respiratory infections.-coughs/colds This is frustrating as these are common during the winter, however the staff are only following the current guidance and we can usually rearrange appointments in no more than 3 weeks. We will always see patients in pain.

We have now reverted to our pre Covid opening hours and ask all patients to help us manage the greater foot fall by not attending too early and coming alone if possible. We accept that care responsibilities mean that this is not always possible with children/vulnerable adults. More bodies simple means that distancing is more difficult and we are trying to avoid keeping patients outside, especially during the winter.
